Dr. Palagi will carefully select which and when radiographs are taken. Radiographs (x-rays) allow us to see everything we cannot see with our own eyes. Radiographs enable us to detect cavities in between your teeth, determine bone level, and health of bone. We can also examine the roots and nerves of teeth, diagnose lesions such as cysts or tumors, as well as assess damage when trauma occurs.

We use state of the art digital x-rays in our office. Digital x-rays significantly reduce the radiation to a patient. They allow us to view the images immediately on our computer monitors. We can enhance the images to help us better diagnose any pathology that may be present. Thus we can decrease the need for retaking x-rays which further decreases radiation to a patient. These images are conveniently stored and readily available for future reference.

Digital imaging allows for much easier communication with other practitioners.
